For the last few years, Holy Week in the Holy Land has been different. In 2020, it was celebrated behind closed doors by the religious communities living inside the holy places and by the faithful in their homes. In 2021, the usual celebrations took place, though with the absence of international pilgrims. This year, at last, Holy Week will be celebrated by locals and pilgrims together, as it was before the pandemic.
