Two new print editions of “Bible Portico,” a publication sponsored by the Saxum International Foundation, have been released in recent weeks. These new editions were made possible through the foundation’s collaboration with publishers in France and Hong Kong.

The French publisher Le Laurier, having sold out its first edition of 1,500 copies, has now published a second edition with a similar print run. In France, the book is titled “Portail de la Bible.” Meanwhile, Claret Publications (Hong Kong), which has distributed over 3,000 copies of a Traditional Chinese translation of Bible Portico, has prepared an edition of the English version for distribution across Asia, Africa, and Oceania. The initial print run consists of 2,000 copies. Claret Publications has also reached an agreement with Saxum to distribute “In the Footprints of Our Faith,” the English edition of “Huellas de nuestra fe.”

The two latest editions of Bible Portico feature completely redesigned maps, created by one of the book’s authors, Jesús Gil, in collaboration with Daniel P. Huffman. This renowned geographer is a pioneer in using 3D modeling programs for cartographic relief presentations. The new maps are more detailed, easier to read, and show better coloring.
So far, “Bible Portico” has been published in Spanish, English, Italian, French, Polish, Traditional Chinese, and Portuguese. Tens of thousands of readers worldwide use this resource to explore, read, and better understand the books of the Bible. Plans are underway to translate the publication into Simplified Chinese, Hebrew, and Arabic.
